Minister seeks ‘urgent advice’ on $115m at risk in SolarZero collapse

About 25 solar panel installation companies haven’t been paid for hundreds of thousands of dollars of work for New Zealand’s biggest solar energy company, now in liquidation. And SolarZero’s staff are owed nearly $1.5 million for unused annual leave.
More details are emerging from the 18 ex-staff now speaking to Newsroom, after liquidators called in by US investment firm Blackrock terminated all of their jobs with immediate effect on Tuesday afternoon.
